Fake Shark Fins Chowder Soup

Ingredients ( for 4 persons )
Lean Pork 150 g Dry Black Mushroom 3 pcs Dry Black Fungus 4 pcs
Canned Bamboo Shoot 100 g Green Bean Vermicelli 50 g
Thickening
Waterchestnut Powder 5 tbsp Cornflour 2 tbsp Chicken Powder 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp Water 5 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce for colouring 1/3 tbsp
Steps
1) Heat pan with 1000 ml of water, wash pork, put into hot water
2) Boil pork for 20 minutes in medium heat, pick up cooked pork
3) Washed pork by cool water, sliced then shredded into tiny pins
4) Soak mushroom and fungus become soft, remove stalks, shredded into tiny pins
5) Wash bamboo shoots, sliced then shredded into tiny pins
6) Soak green bean vermicelli until soft and colourless, cut into short stalks
7) Keep boiling of pork soup, put in all pins ingredients and green bean vermicelli, stir well
8) Cook for 5 minutes in low heat, add in thickening, stir to cook become slightly sticky, serve
9) Option, to serve with some red vinegar, pepper powder, sesame oil
Remark

This is one very special HK style snack soup, for ones who cannot affort the expensive shark fins soup.
For ones who don’t eat pork, chicken meat can be used instead of, it’s same of taste.
Vegetarian’s optioned, deep-fried hard dry doufu can be used instead of meat.
2nd optioned, add in some tiny shredded carot, and 2 tbsp of whisked egg.
