Doufu Dices With Preserved Black Egg – Cold Dish
Putonghua : liang baan dou fu pi dan
Ingredients
Preserved Black Eggs 2 pcs Medium Hard Doufu 1 cube
Chopped Spring Onion 1 stalk Canned Pineapple And Cherry some
Sauce
Light Soy Sauce 3 tbsp Black Rice Vinegar 3 tbsp Sesame Oil 2 tbsp Sugar 1 tbsp
Steps
1) Soak doufu by boiled hot water, drain up until water turn warm, chop doufu into small dices
2) Remove dirts covering and shells of preserved eggs, chop into same size of doufu dices
3) Chop canned pineapple then place to edge surrounding of the plate, then cherrys
4) Place dofu dices on the center of plate, fully covered, then add on preserved egg dices
5) Chilled doufu and egg dices for 30 minutes, sprinkle on the chopped spring onion
6) Pour sauce over and cover the doufu and egg dices, mix well to serve
Remarks
tbsp – table spoon
Remove the liquid preserved egg yolk if you do not like its strange taste, or for health purpose
Option : to add in 2 tbsp of red pepper oil with sauce, if you want to try some spicy
Do not mix doufu and egg with pineapple / cherry…… eat them individually
